About The National Parks
The National Parks will premiere on WETA Television and throughout the nation on September 27, brought to you by WETA. This exciting new documentary series presents the story of an idea — as uniquely American as the Declaration of Independence and just as radical — that the most special places in the nation should be preserved, not for royalty or the rich, but for everyone. The monumental six-part, 12-hour film is the latest in a long series of award-winning, landmark productions from Florentine Films and WETA. We have shared a production partnership for more than twenty-five years with Ken Burns and his Florentine Films colleagues, and projects are being planned up to a decade beyond.
